Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade is a leading institution for high quality science in Serbia, a place where a multidisciplinary approach to research is enabled by its internal organization and best practices. Vinča Institute has a unique infrastructure for the most ambitious research projects of strategic importance for the Republic of Serbia. The Institute employs 311 researchers and 210 Ph.D. students working on over a hundred national and international projects. The Institute conducts research in the following areas: physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and technology, radiation and environmental protection, radiopharmaceutical production, accelerator research, and nanoscience.
