Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade is a leading institution for high quality science in Serbia, a place where a multidisciplinary approach to research is enabled by its internal organization and best practices. Vinča Institute has a unique infrastructure for the most ambitious research projects of strategic importance for the Republic of Serbia. The Institute employs 311 researchers and 210 Ph.D. students working on over a hundred national and international projects. The Institute conducts research in the following areas: physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and technology, radiation and environmental protection, radiopharmaceutical production, accelerator research, and nanoscience. With extensive international scientific cooperation Vinča Institute promotes goodwill and supports civil society and the private sector through projects that produce tangible results.
